The Capture Cam PLD-1300 from Polaroid combines an 8x magnification, 22-millimeter objective binocular with a full-service digital camera built into the binocular for immediate camera-use during binocular viewing. Small enough to fit into your pocket, yet powerful enough to see objects that are up to 1000 yards away, this combination digital camera/binocular allows you to capture the images you view through the binoculars as still photographs or video streams. The binoculars feature roof prisms and fully coated optics for image clarity. The digital camera features a high-precision lens with an IR coating for clarity and 8x magnification--equal to that of the binocular. With an LCD screen, camera operation is simplified and thanks to 64 MB of built-in memory the Capture Cam allows you to store up to 200 high resolution or 800 low resolution images. The camera is also capable of capturing video streams. With USB connectivity, downloading pictures and video streams to the computer is quick and easy. And, for greater in-camera storage capacity and greater flexibility, the Capture Cam is SD card compatible. The Capture Cam operates using two AAA batteries (sold separately) and comes complete with a CD installation program, a user guide, and a USB Cable.
